Special Education Needs Coordinator/EAL Lead

Start date: January 2022

Location: East Oxford

Salary: TMPS or UPS (not suitable for NQTs)

TLR; TLR2c £6,695pa

Contract Type: Full time and Permanent, would consider 0.8 FTE

St Gregory the Great Catholic School is seeking to appoint an inspirational SENCo/EAL Lead who is forward thinking, has drive, passion and commitment to deliver outstanding support and to work alongside the Deputy Headteacher within Inclusion.

We wish to appoint someone with sound knowledge of the different challenges and barriers may children face, who is passionate about their desire to achieve the best possible outcomes for our students. The successful candidate will need to be a qualified SENCO and hold the National SENCO qualification or be working towards completing the qualification.

 

SEN Teaching Assistant

Start date ASAP

Location: East Oxford

Salary:  Grade 5, Point 5 to 7 £19,312 to £20,092 pa pro-rata.  Actual Salary: £13,041 to £13,682 pa

Hours: 30 per week - term time only

We are looking to appointment an SEN Teaching Assistant to work under the direction of the SENCO to provide support and guidance to students with special educational needs.

St Gregory the Great Catholic School is seeking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant, someone with a genuine passion to help and support our students to achieve their very best.  Working to support with academic and emotional and physical needs. The successful candidate would need to demonstrate a strong sense of empathy, patience and understanding.  You will be a member of the Inclusion Team and will work with students with autism, learning needs, social emotional and mental health challenges.

The ideal candidate would be someone with previous experience of working with children and young people.  We encourage applications from graduates looking to pursue a career in teaching. We can offer AOR training to gain QTS for the right candidate subject to criteria requirements.

·         Good standard of numeracy and literacy skills

·         Ability to build and form good relationships with parents/carers and colleagues
